My fucking husband saying, in the most disapproving tone ever, "oh, you haven't got round to sending any yet?" when I admitted I hadn't done them. I do all the present choosing and buying. All the wrapping. For his family as well as mine. And I work out things for his mother to get for people and take her to buy them, suggesting the same suggestion for the same person five times in each shop with the same tone of voice as if she has never asked me if I have any ideas before (because as far as she knows, she hasn't). And I got her Christmas cards, and sat and helped her write and address them herself. And posted them. And helped her wrap her presents for people, and write labels. Also doing all the housework, painted T1's bedroom before she came home from uni, cleared out all the junk he and T2 have been storing in there. It's also my fault there wasn't anything for dinner tonight because I haven't been food shopping (was out of the house for a solid 8 hours today running errands). I don't suppose I mentioned I'm supposed to be writing a dissertation? He'll do most of the cooking on Boxing Day when we're hosting. But I'll be the one writing a list and planning and making sure we have all the ingredients and components. |

Cards. I haven't got round to sending any cards. FFS I'm so irritated I can't even type coherently. |

I haven’t either. If you’d prioritised then over that lot ^^^ I’d be a bit worried too

[I think you should all go on strike next year and let them take control of everything, starting with the planning.]

All the empty flats and houses along the cliff tops and everywhere when it keeps being declared that there aren't enough properties for people to live in.

Don't worry, Carp. You're not alone in this. My wife does all our Christmas shopping, presents and cards and is only up to G in the address book. She does really well every year and I wouldn't knock her. But her downfall (as she only works six hours a week) is too much time spent on school PTAs and volunteering instead of card writing while I'm doing a full-time job and commuting.

Christmas Cards [We stopped sending Christmas cards years ago. Couldn't be bothered mostly, but, increasingly, the shear waste of resources annoys me/us. Now we make a charity donation in lieu (usually for more than we'd have spent on cards and postage)] |
