Mr J is a compulsive button pusher, and is one of those people who will push the button when it’s already lit.]

You can get one car's length between the zebra crossing and the junction itself and you can easily end up blocking the main road as a result. I seriously have to question the Highways Team at our local council for doing things like this. They are also a local authority that recently introduced a 20 mph speed limit in all residential side roads.
