[I always ask for my coffee in a takeaway container (I make it clear that I am eating-in) for 4 reasons: 1. It tastes better 2. It stays hot longer 3. It seems like you get more 4. Sometimes I have to leave before I finish

I don't mind Jigs & Mrs Jigs doing that - it's summat I do myself. Plus I need to get Liebling sat down. If she stands in a queue next to the banging, clanking cups she will conk out.
However... some may recall the fecking sales twats who used to come into the Costa (I used to report this on the mundane thread) on my way into work. Two would come in. One would save the table while the other stood at the front of the queue and before they'd finish serving, someone else would come in. He'd go, 'Oh hi, Tarquin, can I get you something?' and Tarquin would push in the queue. And then Samantha would also come in etc etc. They would end up with four tables pushed together and someone pretty much using up a barista to enable queue-jumping sales bastards to get their coffee before anyone who'd been legitimately queueing. Fuckers.

I remember the sales twats.
Does anybody point this out to them? It's just like pubs in the old days when people went to them.
My favourite Costa was very early Swindon Station, lots of stools along the side sof the shop where groups of people would not go. SO you had a bit of bench, a view of the traffic and Sales twats elsewhere.
Second favourite was Costa W.Swindon, no offices, they all went to the drive-thru (I HATE thru), 8.00 am empty. 8.30 school kids and Swindon's equivalent of yummy mummies making a fucking noise and mess, usually I was gone by then.

you mean those cups that enable you to drink more coffee than you would otherwise be able to?

Non-recyclable takeaway cups. How hard can it be to make them recyclable? Or easier to recycle, because apparently there is a process but it’s very complicated and only one or two places do it...
