Fragile Do Not Bend
That’s bizarre. A small shop paying in their takings would easily have more than 10 bags to pay in, and like you say, they just weigh it so takes no time at all.

They probably have a computer monitoring that the rules are being kept with red flashing lights in the ceo's office if they're broken

Wriggling Snake
Nico, old fashioned or not, cheques are fine, Lloyds sound awful. They shut my local branch od my bank, Barclays, shame as they were really nice and would bend over backwards for you.
Jeremy Vine, WHAT A TOSSER.

Anyone else getting the impression that WS has gone off Jeremy Vine a bit?

Next time take 15 people with you and each one pays in £20. That'll stick it to The Rule Man. What's the point of a manager who can't flex the rules?

Nicholls595, Metro bank is your friend (if there's one near you). Coin counting machines, no commission charge for using, the machine spits out a slip that you take to the counter and they exchange for a wad of notes**
** Not ideal walking out of a bank with £800 in £20s as I once did after emptying my coin jar, but weighing up the risk against the time spent counting and bagging coins, I thought it was worth it.
If you actually bank with Metro (you don't need to bank with them to use their coin counting machine) they pay the proceeds straight into your account.

Wishing I had a coin jar like Fitz's ... How big is it? And only coins?
(40 x £20 notes must be a lot easier and less obvious than £800 in loose change )

WA
My boss rang me today "So, WA, you have a 4x4 so you can do extra visits tomorrow" Me "I'd be happy to unless the kids school is closed, in which case I'll be working from home" Boss "But you have a 4x4 so you can get in" Me "I can, but I can't bring my kids to patients houses. I'll be in if the school is open" Boss "But you have a 4x4 so you can get in" Me "I will be there. If the school is closed though, I'll be working from home" Boss "But you have a 4x4 so you can get in"
