Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Printers.

I have just read a roughly 10 page document on what to do if a printer goes randomly "offline". It includes unplugging BOTH ends of the power cable for 60 seconds, and that is one of the few things that I feel are within my competence.

They obviously know that the power cable can store disruptive information for up to a minute and have designed the printer so that it can access and act on this disruptive information.

ymail

1) it won't autocomplete email addresses you're writing to
2) from the list of contacts you cannot choose one to write to
3) from the list of contacts there is no means of getting back to the inbox or anything else

My phone autocorrects pmsl to omsk

I mean, wtf? I could understand if it corrected to a real word but it doesn’t capitalise it so it’s not even correctly correcting it to a random Russian place!

Christmas Jumper Day. There should be statutory grievance procedures for employers that attempt to enforce it.
