What really grinds my gears is the way they swing round and tw*t you in the shins at an alarming pace. Nothing hurts more.

If you're happy to look like that as you move along (and usually scooterists have a big grin on their faces!) then more power to you! But people in IoW pubs.... probably one of my brothers!
