Not knowing which is worse; a cyclist on an unlit path with no lights, or the one with one flashing white light attached to the back of her rucksack. Took me ages to work out what was going on.

Traffic lights. I waste so much time at them. Temporary traffic lights are even worse.

[Easy answer XB. Wear a hoodie, tuck your trousers into your socks, and ignore them completely. (Or maybe not. But seems to be the preferred option around here in some areas.)]

I feel really moany this week and intolerant. It's bloody work all the time.
I've got a colleague who's got no common sense at all. None whatsoever. ... and no sense of initiative or urgency, happy to leave me to shoulder the responsibility and stress. I'm ready to snap not just with them but with this place. Management have put us in a shoebox with fire doors and no airflow. A colleague is sat on a heater and I'm boiling. Are there benefits to a work sauna?
Oh an incessant questions about really simple everyday things. How the hell do they leave the house and get here in one piece?

Email from Virgin Oxford Half Marathon today offering 20% off at Asics shops for runners. Lovely, but they are all in London! This is the Oxford Half Marathon and the majority of runners will be local! This sort of "special offer" really annoys me, apparently offering something but for most entrants it's simply not worthwhile!

Why do they make learning literacy so complicated now? I never remember it being so difficult back in my day. If I can't understand the question, what chance has a child got?
