Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

You reply to a comment on FB and thereafter you're bombarded with notifications whenever others comment. You can't activate the 'turn off notifications' service since you've not actually made a direct comment yourself, you've just responded to one.

I appreciate local radio traffic reports breaking in to the national broadcasts when in the car, but I don't appreciate their waffling about Johnny's first day at school, the local playgroup fundraiser or the up and coming interview with some aging pop star making another come back. GET ON WITH THE TRAFFIC NEWS FFS!

Booking websites that state, "We are a charity and have included an optional £1.50 in your ticket price".

Then you untick and get a pop up that says "Are you sure you don't want to donate? We need charitable donations to continue with our good work"

So, heartlessly, you untick again.

The charity in question isn't Shelter or Age Concern or something similar. It is a theatre and they have just charged me £70 for the two of us to sit right at the back probably behind a pillar. At a friggin' matinee. I'm not feeling in the slightest charitable now.

And being a booking website, it adds £2.50 anyway as a 'booking fee'. Except it's their own website for their own theatre.

*applauds McGoohan*, especially the booking fees - they are totally unjustified.

Colleagues in the office who moan for days about their computer not working but won't phone IT about it. If you aren't going to do what it takes to fix it then shut up.

Booking fees! When we're doing the admin for them. Nooo - it's so wrong. :(

I'm not sure you're sufficiently qualified to be telling people that they're "overweight" by a specific amount. Stop it.
