Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Ocado and their one-hour-and-forty-minutes late and counting delivery, and shocking communication from said late delivery man.

The usual irritation of spelling my name on an e-mail, fax or letter as either Phil or Philip (one L) and getting a response with two L's. Is there anything wrong with paying attention to detail?

I give up with my name. If people have heard it, they can't spell it, and if they've seen it written, they can't pronounce it.
I blame my parents.

[All 3 parts of my name are possible surnames or first names. Ever since school I've learned to answer to almost anything. (Although I draw the line at "Oi!")]

Parents who think it's acceptable to send their offspring to school by themselves on their bikes, when the said offspring still ride on the pavement. If they're big enough to ride a bike alone, they should be big enough to ride it on the road. If they're not safe on the road, don't send them alone.

I'm 45 and not safe cycling on the road, but that's because of drivers being fuckwits and the total lack of cycle paths round here rather than my age...

[Lots of idiot road users round here too :-(

I understand why cyclists sometimes use footways but it irks me when cyclists fail to recognise that pedestrians on a footway are the ones in the right place.]
