Nobody seems to get as fucking irate about 1.5 tonnes of fucking metal being in the wrong place intimidating pedestrians as they do about 80kg ish of metal plus person, even though statistically the 1.5 tonnes propelled by a combustion engine is more likely to kill or injure.

Surely there could also be a technological solution too? Like you could tweet the local councll with a postcode and hashtag and they would immediately pop over and nab the selfish bastards. A few months ago it took the police 15 hours (and half an hour of my time) to act on someone parking a massive van and huge trailer blocking the footpath on the main road. It was incredibly dangerous and there seemed so little appetite for action, despite this being the main school run route for an infants, 2 nurseries, junior and secondary schools.

Coming home was depressing, the attitude of drivers here is so entitled :(]

Journey spent evading cyclists choosing to move out of the cycle lane to overtake others straight into the path of my car. Then we had the white van men. I could say why but the stereotypical view explains it easily!
