My MIL often parks across our drive. Perhaps she thinks the yellow lines don't count if you're causing an obstruction as well.

[square brackets are a convention from the TYWTSBC thread, where you're commenting on something instead of saying something new, or in the other thread, actually saying it!]

We have neighbours with a driveway who have moved their gate so it can't fit a car on it any more and they park on the road. Most people here don't have drives and we park wherever, she asked me not to park in front of her house once and I pointed out that it was a public road and that she has a driveway she chooses not to use, so she ought to get a grip. Every time I see her now I wrinkle my nose, she's the one horrible neighbour in the street and a miserable bitch.

Woman across the road has a disabled parking bay. Even though any Blue Badge holder can park there, she is adamant that people park there just to inconvenience her.

I was out.
I was not dead (and, as of time of typing, I'm still not dead).
If I were, what on earth do you think you could do over the phone ~ It's not as if I'd pick it up and confirm I were deceased, is it!
Perhaps learn to phone at the same time each day and not just when it's convenient for you?
If me not picking the phone up panics you, perhaps just don't call?
Your desperate need to know that I'll be ready and available to confirm that I'm still not dead makes every day 'Oh so enjoyable and stress free' for me and I look forward to each and every call.
Oh, and ... I still ain't dead!
[This has all been said. And not just once . In fairness, I have almost karked it several times.]

[Hmmm ... I might not be dead but I'd prefer to not shit blood too. I know that I should say something but the level of panic and excessive concern it would cause means I'll keep my gob shut . I should point out that I know the likely cause of the bleeding and am used to dealing with it. It shouldn't be a problem and if it gets worse or causes significant problems I will seek professional help ]

[Ah, I thought the square brackets were from the C Block thread, to show that you weren't quoting an actual communication]

Not sure if it grinds my gears or just worries me..... (in the light of Decorum's comment esp.!)
The trail of dried blood drips leading into the Gents at work, and into a cubicle, over the seat.....
Part of me hopes whoever is okay and didn't subsequently collapse somewhere.
And another part of me want's them to come back and clean up their own bloody mess - thinking of all concerned, I'm not sure what's in their anonymous blood!
