Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Going back to the toilet paper debacle. Everyone else in my household - I seem to be the only person following the "over" rule - Why do I find the new roll of bog paper installed the wrong way all the time when someone else does it?!! Grrrr.

Moaning about which way round the toilet paper is....tsk.

When we were kids at school, there was an outside toilet with that shiny, crinkly toilet paper. Yep, your cold arse was wiped by sharp paper that felt as if it had razor blades in it. Worse, the 'paper' had no absorbent qualities at all so simply did no tangible clean up work for the pain.

That ground my gears....

Yes- AM. I also remember that. Just smears. Also remember it in a Civil Service place I worked at for a while. They must have had years worth of the stuff stockpiles as this was in the 1980s believe it or not.

Fragile Do Not Bend
When I was a child, my grandparents had both shiny paper and regular loo roll in their bathroom. I never did figure out why one or both of them voluntarily used shiny paper.
