Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Other people's FB review of the year vids. Mine is rather fine (A series of photographs of pubs), but I will not inflict it on others.

People referring to The Twelve Days of Christmas BEFORE Christmas.

I've seen 2 give away competitions on FB entitled The Ninth Day of Christmas.
It's the ninth day of Advent for Christs sake! (pun intended)

Isn't the ninth day of Advent 5 December this year, what with Advent Sunday being 27 November?

Quite possibly CharlieP!! What ever it is, it is NOT the ninth day of Christmas.

The other thing that is grinding my gears, is that thing where you can't eat yet because you haven't run. But you run 'cos you're hungry.
Basically I am pissing myself off right now...

There's a *can't* missing from my previous post. Without it my rant makes no sense.

The idea, that's being fostered by the media, that somehow sexual abuse in football trumps sexual abuse in the wider community.

I'm assuming this stems from the other notion - again fostered in the media- that sexual abuse in the wider community is predominantly carried out by immigrants, or Asians and perpetrated on victims from dysfunctional backgrounds.

Yes I can - and that's part of the trouble. Seems to me that football has finally managed to drag the rest of the country down to its moronic level....

I don't think the media has done either of those things. Perhaps the mail and the sun. Football is being highlighted right now is all.

The troubling thing is that abuse of children is going on in every corner in every part of british society. Schools. Clubs. Scouts Churches and most of all families. You name it it is there. The sooner people grasp that fact. The better.
