Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ask him about his trainer policy / footwear rotation? How many pairs is he planning on using/breaking in so he's ensured of a couple of pairs at optimal usage in the run up to the event :-)

Same goes for insoles ;-)

Oh I got some of that info yesterday, he had a gait analysis done (I suggested that, he must have listened to that bit) and they sold him some Brooks, they ended up being too small so he took them back and got Asics, have I ever heard of them he asked. I reassured him that Brooks and Asics are pretty well known for running shoes so he's going in the right direction there. I'll ask him about insoles next...

Nipped chafage - what's the best product to leave marks on your kit?

Monkey butt? (if you have the stomach to go there ;-) )

Tell him to make sure he gets running-specific soles rather than the general-purpose (G) ones, by demanding 'R' soles.

Oh the 'R' soles one would have been great! If I knew who had him in secret santa I'd suggest a big tub of Vaseline.

Actually I think you'd be happier being as nice and supportive of him as possible, particularly if he's 60+.

You are right Chris. I'd be thrilled for him if he got a good time, one he was happy with, whatever that is. I know on Fetch we all know people 60+ doing marathons and achieving all sorts of fast times at 10ks and stuff, but it's not the norm is it?

Bloody annoying Dettol adverts. Yeah. let's drench everything in Dettol so we don't die of the billions of bugs out to kill us. What - no immune system? I'm off to get a truck load of Dettol delivered and spend 16 hours a day washing down everything in the house - never mind the fact that there's air flowing into the house/footsteps in and out of the house etc. etc. what a load of tosh!
