15 degrees is going to feel like a hot summer day for me!
Idiots question now seeing as I haven't done a big city marathon before. Will it be 'easy' to find the 4 hour pacer in the blue start area?

I'm on the verge of deferring. Giving myself until Thursday to decide (planning to pick my number up on Friday).
Had an x-ray this morning in case of stress fracture, but of course they don't always show up on x-rays. neither the doc nor the physio think it's that likely to be a stress fracture, but it's also not improving the way it should if it's the joint/muscular. I'm still in a fair bit of pain when walking.
this is breaking my heart and I've already cried twice at work which is quite mortifying.
flights, theatre tickets, various things are all booked and paid for, so I will still come down, and may join you guys on the other side of the fence...

Feel for you.
GM- one I saw said 3-6kpm wind. Dry. 40% cloud cover. 18c.
I think I'd like a bit cooler than 18c and def no warmer!!!
Siouxsie, the hottest mara I've run was Embra 5 yrs ago. The 'infamous' year when stacks of the water got stolen and they had to close part of the course to the slower runners.
I could have kissed Flip when he gave me a bottle of cold water in the later stages.
Actually, I think I did kiss Flip and tell him that he'd saved my life.

A really hot day would be my absolute nightmare. i know it's irrational but it's one of the reasons I avoid Edinburgh! I remember at Paris last year it was a nice spring day but still rather too warm for me, so it made me laugh when they talked about the challenge of the "chilly conditions" for the elites!

Hello Runners,
Final plea for help. The budget for Fetchpoint this year is very limited, so we'd really appreciate it if you can arrange to get your requested items either to the RW stand at Expo, or direct to FP via friends / rellies, and then update the spreadsheet to let me know what you're providing and whether it will be left at Expo or sent to FP.
To runners and supporters You can also help out with the general stock at FP by bringing along (or dropping off at Expo) a packet of sweets or jaffa cakes or a can of coke, bottle of water, or anything - you don't have to spend a fortune and every little thing helps.
Link to the spreadsheet is here----->Link to docs.google.com
Any q's let me know.

I'm taking a few bags of sweets to the Expo for MissC. Is anything else needed?
