Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have a whole new appreciation for curry houses 😂 I have made curries for years but this is a new (to me) method & using the base sauce should give more consistent results and more authentic. I was just not prepped before I started today which made it longer winded too (distracted clearing cupboards out)

There's a nature reserve near me which has 1000 year old yews. They're amazing.

Spent about half an hour trying to master tying a bloody slip knot. I'm sure it's not supposed to be that hard.

Watching the first episode of Bridgeton. Don't love it so far.

No newts here today, but I'm planning to get to bed soon. If I manage it before 11 that will be a newt!

I've just caught up on about 80 newts - excellent jingling everyone too many to mention again but I also tried a newt stout tonight although I bought it in a bottle from the supermarket - JEBs sounds better.

And my newt from yesterday - the wild garlic in the veg box - has also been a newt today as I used it in my dinner (or tea for those who have dinner at lunchtime ;-) ) tonight

I finished making a newt thing.

The jumper fits me well (quite loose, as intended) and will probably hang better after a whirl in the washing machine and a gentle stretch.

That is really lovely, Vrap. It's nice to see the finished jumper - I remember you having to undo some and I felt frustrated on your behalf. I love the matching hat.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
