Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

According to the Beeb, there are stockpiles of Magnum icecreams and Lynx anti-perspirant in the EU
They'll miss us when we leave - right? Serves 'em right.

I'm taking notes from McG's freezer inventory (and subsequent lists by other Fetchies) to see where best to raid ;-)

My thoughts exactly, Linds :-0

At the beginning of the week I did some store cupboard sorting (prompted, as it happens, by McG's decluttering blogs) and realised we were in need of quite a few essentials like rice, lentils, Worcestershire sauce and tuna. Accordingly this morning I did a big shop of such stuff but felt the need to say to the check-out lady that I was *not* panic-buying, for snow or Brexit :-)

I found this thread after listening to this week's podcast :)

It's interesting watching this from Spain, there are some things I panic buy when I'm in the UK, but only because you can't find them in Spain

We keep a minimum of 1 weeks' supply of paper products for a couple of clients and they keep a weeks' worth on their own site. After a discussion with the clients we have now increased this to 2 weeks' on our site, with the clients still keeping one week. So that just means a one-off purchase to increase the revolving stock level to one that has a little more buffer room if their are delays.

On my run this morning I passed a woman stuffing bread rolls and a sliced white loaf (both unopened) into a public litter bin. Presumably feeling too guilty to leave them in her own bin pig

I got slightly worried I would run out of Marmite before my next big supermarket shop, but when I got home I realised I'd slight over-catered (1×125g, 3×250g).

But perhaps I was ahead of the game after all: theguardian.com
