I nominate this as the world's most delayed project; something to give cheer to all who are involved with lesser failures: Neom (styled NEOM; Arabic: نيوم, romanized: niyūm, Hejazi pronunciation: [nɪˈjo̞ːm]) is a planned smart city in Tabuk Province in northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is north of the Red Sea, east of Egypt across the Gulf of Aqaba, and south of Jordan. The total area of Neom is 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi) or 33 times the size of New York City. The city's plans include multiple regions, including a floating industrial complex, global trade hub, tourist resorts, and a linear city—all powered exclusively by renewable energy sources.[2] Developers intend for the majority of the city to be complete by 2030.[3] Experts have expressed skepticism about the ambitions of the megaproject.[4] Saudi Arabia originally aimed to complete major parts of the project by 2020, with an expansion completed in 2025, but then fell behind schedule.[5][6] By July 2022, only two buildings had been constructed, and most of the project area remained bare desert. en.wikipedia.org |

I've been a journeyman rep selling for 20 + years, but have two 'projects'. The first is to 'step up a gear' for the last years I do the job; to make a bigger contribution, plus dare I say it, earn more money. The second is to return to industry in some role beore retiring. I've had a real purple patch for the last 18 months in regard to sales so the first project is going well

DD2's little knitted skeleton didn't get finished for Halloween last year, and it didn't get finished for her birthday today either. Still haven't finished DD1's wedding quilt either. (It's their 10th anniversary this year.) Fortunately, they're both very understanding. And forgiving. |

I noticed at the back end of summer that one of the bedding boxes we built in 2006/7 was rotting so had a measure up and went down to the builders yard for some replacement timber which they cut to size and I stacked on the drive for later. It's still later and it's still sat there...
