one of my teens has had an email to say UCAS deadline has been shifted to two weeks later ...other has not had email yet

Ok. Are your teens ok with it all? Mine seems pretty chilled so far...he hasn't done firm/back up yet.

on the surface they are ok, but i think its really tough with so many unknowns. I think for now they are burying themselves in the work that the school is setting them but when the Easter holidays start they will feel an enormous void and have more time to worry

I am expecting a rollercoaster over the next couple of months with the UCAS stuff, but tbh it feels easier to deal with than having under 10s at home needing occupying and trying to work so...grateful for that.

That was on Twitter this morning (from UCAS). Please reassure your teens. They have a lot of power in this situation, though it might not feel like it. Universities will be desperate for students come Sept, and they/we are unlikely to have any overseas students to swell our coffers. It really is a buyers' market. |
