I can't recommend this race highly enough. The course seems to have a bit of everything. The race organisation is first class, the marshals amazing, and as for the 'motivational' signs, well you have to run the race to really value them. I think the highlight for me was the point when the Spey met the sea, the sun was out and it was a truly stunning sight. I'd love to be back next year, but it is just so far to travel |

I second Fenland Runner. Highly recommended and perfect first ultra. I did manage to get lost, twice, but only briefly I was on my own from mile 8 (couldn't even see runners ahead or behind!) but was having such a great time looking at the scenery I didn't mind. Caught a guy at the end of the ouchy railway line on the coast but he didn't want to be "chicked" and buggered off! Told me afterwards that the only woman who has ever beat him was Liz McColgan. LOL. And no midges... Thanks everyone here who answered my questions, particularly about the route, beforehand. |

Well done TR, what a fantastic time. Were you first lady? It's a lovely route, but not easy. Lovely views though. G

Thanks. Yes I really love trees, and rivers, and the sea... so it was a great route for me. Nearly blew it over mile 29 when I caught a whiff of the sea and started the run for home though |

So it was you SantaB, thought so. Will say hi next time if I'm brave enough to do another one! Agree with other posts - cracking medal, a lovely course and no midgies! Well done to TR on your 1st place, a superb time.
