Me occasionally if we go to a cafe or pay for monthly bus tickets. They stopped the card payments above £10 because of fraud Also raffles in work or staff collections |

Some pre- QEII coins stayed in circulation much longer than normal because they were repurposed for decimalisation. The shilling coin was repurposed as 5p, the two-shilling coin as 10p.

I thought it was interesting when someone on the telly pointed out that all those expensively embroidered uniforms for those such as the ceremonial trumpeters that have EIIR on will also need to be changed.

But it's only the E II bit that needs to be changed. I'm sure the Embroiderers' Guild or whoever will be happy to do that. The rest of the ceremonial dress won't need changing. |

Yes it needs to be CIIIR now technically not a huge change but the III instead of II may mean the whole lot need doing ie get rid of all the EIIR as it may not be in the correct position! The last coronation was 16 months after the death of the king so plenty of time! |
