Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Just to re-iterate what I said elsewhere.

I was toying with the idea of this as Ruchill is not far from my daughters student digs and I am a runner after all.

However a wee injury that crops up when I put any pace into my runs and my lack of trust in myself to act only as a pacemaker and therefor erisk injury means I will not make it.

Also the better half has a birthday treat lined up

Baz, you must come.

You can run with me, I’ll slow you down more than enough to save you any fear of injury...

If necessary I’ll bring duck tape and attach you to me so you can’t speed off!

Lou lou, you can run and not race

Maz. Not sure I can miss my wife’s birthday surprise with the excuse that I have been taped to a ‘strange’ woman !!!!!!

I think that was what LouLou meant? Just doing 7:30 or so. (I looked - that would be a PB :-).)

Unless that's part of the birthday surprise. (What's with the outbreak of CApitalisatioN?)

57.5 Degrees of Pain
Might be reduced to spectating as something painful happened to my hamstring during a gentle run with the dog yesterday. Feels a bit better today but faster running might be out. The perils of age!

So if, hypothetically, I wanted to join a “race” am I too late? If it wasn’t too hot, and if the DOMS from weight training ease would maybe try a 7 min/mile.
