Absolutely RS. We got into the BYOC at Starbucks...getting 25p off a coffee each saves a bit on the coffee and means a few cups were saved. :) Once Waitrose got rid of their cups, we went there with our cups.

He does line the kitchen bin with newspaper without too much complaint now. It's only taken a year or so!

I’m thinking about plastic free July. Inspired by runfree’s pics of rubbish generated on her recent trip I thought I’d do the same for every day in July. Still trying to work out the rules for myself. I won’t include prescription meds. I think I might struggle with milk for example without just giving up using it.

Oh and another thought I had after last week’s bbc program. I used cotton wool and soap rather than wipes for my children when they were small, (now age 23to 31), because I didn’t like the idea of the chemicals in them. Does anyone know if ‘cotton wool’ is really 100% cotton?

Sainsbury's cotton pads & cotton wool balls both state that they're 100% cotton. Apart from the plastic bag they come in, of course.

Silvershadow, milk bottles with foil tops should be available, maybe via delivery.

I get milk delivered - glass bottles with foil tops. Depends where you live I suppose (I've only lived in urban/suburban areas)

Thank you, I’ve found a delivery service but it keeps randomly changing the things in my basket. I’ll have to try again on my laptop.
