Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

What (if any) differences are there between the Mizuno Wave Inspire 5 and later models (6, 7, 8)?

Thanks!

I thought 5 and 6 were supposed to be similar (I still have a pair of 6 under my desk for the odd occasion when I run at lunchtime). They were changed for 7 I think. Nellers I suspect may have something to say here - he loved his 6s and then defected to Zoot.

Lovers of 5s and 6s hated 7s with a passion, but glad to report that those same people love the new 8s.

You can find a thread on this subject on RW, under "gear". That report on the 7 is the reason I have an unworn pair of 6 waiting their turn.

I've had 3, 4 and 6. Unfortunately for Mizuno, I'm getting very well over 1000 miles out of them. The 3 are my everyday shoes now, and the 4 & 6 still serve me for running.

Thanks, guys! Just had a read through the thread on RW - very useful to know. Cheers! Now just need to wait for some more opinions on the new 8s. :-)

7s are not as wide as 6s, but other than that I have not had any problems

Have one pair of 7s at 500 miles and another at about 350 - don't see either of them lasting much beyond 500!

Thanks, longboat!

Does anyone know whether the 8s are as wide as the 6s (which, given that people say there were hardly any changes from the 5s to the 6s, are probably pretty much the same as the 5s I have?)?

Blue 6s are my faves of all of them. I am halfway through some 7s and have a pair to go but I think I am going to try Mizuno Creations next as I am a midfoot striker these days and the front end of the 7s isn't very soft.
