Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I don't have a railcard, in fact can't remember when I was last on a train!

I have the National Entitlement Card which gives me free bus travel but it's only valid in Scotland.
I think we will give the rib experience a miss Dustin! A leisurely cruise appeals a lot more 😉
I'm liking the look of Zedel, so might book that for after the theatre.
If we did go for a run it would be early morning and a slow one. Not that I'd ever do London Marathon but quite fancy the thought of running across Tower Bridge. 🤣

Thanks again all, nothing like local knowledge to help when visiting places. 😊

Surrey Phil wrote:I use contactless payment on TfL now. It just saves messing about with topping-up your Oyster. If you are sightseeing, I recommended doing a hop-on hop-off tour. We did one quite some time ago and it included a river boat trip. That way, you can do as little or as much as you like and you can fit lunch, etc around your itinerary. Strangely enough, we saw The Mousetrip at the end of our day of touring around London.

We did the hop on hop off bus with the river cruise too.

Tower Bridge is a great tourist attraction with the glass floor.

About This Thread

Maintained by DoricQuine
We are flying down to London for a few days next month, mainly to see The Mousetrap but will have time to do some other other stuff as well.
I'm hoping to do a walk/run while there and want to know if it is possible to run right by the river from Westminster Bridge to Tower Bridge and if yes, which bank of the river would be best? We are staying in Covent Garden area so plan walking down to river to warm up and taking it from there.
Also any place round there that wouldn't mind sweat...
