I'll probably start feeling sorry for Jayde now. But only briefly - someone has to go and Ritchie was just as much of a 'superfan' (grrrrr, so WHAT) and probably made progress faster than she did.

Jayde needed to go this week and I think it will be Tony to go next week.

Tony should go unless the same people who voted for Sargeant, Widdecombe, etc. get behind him.

I'm pleased Jayde has gone as I think she had already exhausted 'how many different ways are there to stomp around'. I'd like to see Tony go soon too and maybe James. I might have to allocate two of my votes going forward to Ellie and Johannes because I do love Johannes and I thought Ellie was very un-celeb like to say how much the public love Johannes whenever they go anywhere and he seems to be the star not her. She isn't final material but she is giving it a good go!

I loved the emotional qualities of Jayde’s dancing and looked forward to seeing her each week.
But I agree that she was a bit static and could be stompy, so from a dance perspective, she was always likely to go. She seems to be taking it in her stride.
I look forward to seeing which of the top dancers can continue to improve over the next few weeks. That’s the tricky thing, when they start off well, it’s not so easy to see.

Just my views:
I think it's easier for a performance person - be they actor, singer or comedian - to show (and perhaps rely on) emotion. I felt Jayde overcooked it at the expense of any technique and progress. Loving something is not enough!
I prefer to see someone learning to let go and show emotion - whatever comes up. Helen is a good example of this and most sportspeople. A footballer might be able to do the win and lose thing but not the deep stuff.

I know what I mean but perhaps haven't expressed it well.

I understand what you mean Sharkie. I like to see learning and improvement too, but as a non-expert dance fan, I’m more likely to see the feeling first!

I hated Millie’s dance - exactly what you would expect from stage school kids trying to pretend they’re edgy and cool.
There are so many shows that have had their life and energy ripped out of the story by this! Matilda, Billy Elliot spring to mind.

D2 watched the dance off with me and her comment on Millie was “when does the oomph start?”
