sLickster 9 Dec 1:10pm, 9 Dec 2023 1,945 posts	0 sLickster It's 99% grass, and what isn't grass...was literally path wide puddles today. Muddy after the first lap, of three. Was so cold from doing the car park marshalling (it's a bit of an odd situation, with certain areas for certain people - parkrunners, non-parkrunners, etc) that I decided to jump in and do the run too, but didn't have time to get changed out of all my waterproofs, so got a bit hot after 10mins! Two local events cancelled last minute, so some came, but 115 in total. Went very well all things considered. Only tricky part was...ED forgot the finish tokens!!! But he had printed out extras onto paper for if there were more than 500. So first finisher got number 500 today.

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
