Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

How bad are your blisters Kaz ? I took mine for a 22 miler yesterday and they survived.

They survived my 22 miler too mx but s'not a pretty sight (left one goes down pretty quickly but the right is now a blood blister with blister on top - not sure whether to pop it). Not really hampering me to much at the mo but just concerned that, come the day, those few extra miles and faster pace will make all the difference. After my probs last year I'm b"ggered if something as stupid as a blister is going to be the ruination of all my plans.

I always pop mine despite being told not to. I suppose it depends where they are too and I often find using other shoes top the ones that caused the problem can be helpful, in my case it was my cross country spikes which I shall not be wearing for a little while now.

Going to wear my Mizunos for my 12 miler on Wednesday. Don't normally wear them for anything over 10k but think I'll give them a go. Don't like popping blisters in case they end up infected but might just do it. It still hasn't completely gone down.

As Gobi explains more correctly keep the skin on but loose the fluid and cover with a plaster preferable one that will stay on when running.

pretty good, managed to run at an almost constant pace all the way round. Hoping I can keep that pace or a bit quicker on Sunday at Silverstone.

Just drained, cleaned and dressed it. Going to see if I can get some moleskin cos that's about the only type of dressing/padding that I've not tried yet.
