Marathon Lads
Nice and quiet
Tonight I ran SOLO with the club - we ran about 9 miles in 72 minutes -
It was fun, it was peaceful - we stopped and re- grouped every so often - we chatted most of the way, we laughed - it was indeed a night of enjoyable relaxing fun -
There was at no time any pressure applied or real pace injected -
I didn’t want too much or too quick as I want to be relaxed and prepared for this weekend’s Gloucester marathon
It was indeed an evening to remember

Velociraptor
Lovely 8.8 miles in the sunshine with my favourite running companion, and with legs that were willing to run rather than being dragged along reluctantly.
Average pace 9.30mm, and managed a proper arm-pumping, spew-on-the-doorstep finishing sprint

Last night. Club run - had a bit of a chat with Strider Coach (good). New shoes (good). Otherwise unremarkable

Monday - strong winds and throwing it down so no run. Tues - fine and got 10 miles in. Wed - rest day - should have gone out and taken advantage of the weather. Thurs - scheduled 13.1 mile run but it was throwing it down with strong winds Fri - throwing it down again.
Not looking good for tomorrow's scheduled LSR either

Much more enjoyable, if a little slower than Tuesday's effort over the same route.

Yuck.
18 miles. Big hill bit, wind in my face, driving, icy rain and hail. Horrible lorries going past and soaking me. I was soaked before I got to a mile.
Of course, it gets lovely and sunny when I get to mile 15.
