We didn't get that tip and the house lights came up after the mid-credits scene and we shuffled out. I'm annoyed now. Knowing there's some more film to view why would the cinema bring the house lights up? Idiots.

So more a bonus for sticking around than a key plot twist then. I'm less bothered then. Thanks McGoohan.

They brought up the house lights, I dutifully watched all of the credits (it amuses me to spot funny names, or namesakes of people I know) and then just as the final bit rolled and we got up out of our seats the houselights dimmed again for the final post credit addition. Though in fairness I did find the final one a little bit pointless. |

I'm so done with mid/post credits scenes. One benefit of streaming that you can just skip past all the credits to the (usually underwhelming) extras.

Have to say that I loved the mid-credit scene from Sinners. It absolutely worked as an ending to the story they were telling (but also gave them a potentially lucrative in to a sequel!).

The only odd thing about that epilogue is that, as we both saw, some cinema goers will have missed it because they get up as soon as the credits roll. Stitching the epilogue onto the film-proper would have not been any less impactful. |

That’s absolutely a fair point. I guess that I’ve been conditioned to accept it by Marvel!

On the sequel point; definitely mileage there, which is not what you might have guessed at with the overall scope of the film. But the mid credits scene didn't feel like a mercenary grab for sequel rights, just leaving an opportunity there if need be.
