Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I've just caught the geocaching bug - it's making my runs a lot slower (which I didn't think was possible) but more fun! Haven't set any caches of my own yet...

I’ve been geocaching for a few months now. I don’t own any caches (yet). It’s great fun ..I’ve found some really inventive caches ( including a pretend slug, a tortoise and a snail).

A nice afternoon geocaching today. 10 finds, some fairly straightforward and a few not so easy, including this cryptic hint :

Found an absolute belter today - a flat matte black magnetic panel on a flat matte black bit of canal machinery with the log stuck behind it. There are still a couple of HIPS (Hiding in Plain Sight) ones near here I just can't see for the life of me, clearly I'm not being devious enough...

I've done quite a bit of caching in the past - some of the HIPS ones are very clever! One was designed to look the same as the spikes along the fence and then put on a bit which didn't have one. Others are magnetic information signs on things

One of my favourite finds was a cache disguised as a snail. It was really lifelike!

I found a film canister cache with a snail in it once - or rather, the remains of a snail. The shell was there, the rest had liquified all over the log book bag. *snail*?

No *snail*. That feels like a smiley we should have on this site.

If there were a *snail* it would only work if you left a space before and after the stars star
