The sooner the better though. I hope they pull the trigger today so they can get whoever in as a replacement soon and get things sorted during the international break. Nothing will be different on Tuesday (I doubt they’d sack him on Monday with the performative mourning going on) and if they leave it until after the break we’re back to rushing things between games.

Aston Villa v Man City ladies on BBC2. City are really missing their lost players over the summer - Walsh, Stanway, White, Bronze, Weir, Scott all gone. Aston Villa good value for the half time lead, City lacking in midfield.

Brentford were a bit out of sorts. Arsenal will do that to most teams this year, top 5 apart.
