Just realised that will be a pain when on holiday with the bugs

I don't like bugs either. At the moment I am doing specific training and so I have set routes. Looking now the bugs are in really difficult places to get to and so I just won't get them. If the bugs were on major roads i'd make a detour but as it stands now I have to go into the wilderness to get them which isn't going to happen. I guess living in a place that has green space is a disadvantage here.

We have lots of greenspace and very grumpy farmers too. I just move the inaccessible ones.

You'll both benefit from the recent update that will stop new markers spawning in inaccessible areas.

tell us more Fetch, please....
for years I have been trying to get past royal security and collect those inaccessible coins in the castle. Does this mean I can stop risking a spell in jail?!

WW - mentioned a few pages back (or check my blog). Basically, once you indicate that a marker is inaccessible, you won't see another one in the same place. It might not be fully up to speed yet, until I put the rest of the changes live later this week. The markers now 'snap to grid', which means there are about 1200 positions within a home circle - so if you've got LOTS of inaccessible areas, you might need to do quite a bit of reporting - but each report covers an 80 metre radius, so it'll get better.

Also... to give you all something to chew over whilst I'm coding - my plan is to do away with the monthly and annual leaderboards - and instead introduce a rolling 30 day table.
Quite a bit of the feedback suggested that folks like to beat their previous totals - so my plan is to introduce a 'high water mark' score i.e. your highest total so far. So if you have a great 30 days, you'd push up your high water mark.
How does that sound?

mmm Can we have a vote on the new bug rules? People usually don't react well to negative incentive compared to positive incentive, and the neighbour bug rules sound like bad karma to me...
Also, living in London, there are parts of my home circle I simply won't run in...in fact, most of my home circle and I'd prefer scrapping bugs entirely.

In favour of the new bug rules:
1) there are half as many bugs as before 2) it's easier to kill them (just take them out of your circle) 3) you can't impact a neighbour with your own bug movement 4) there's a big bonus if you keep the circle clean 5) an infected bug is worth more to you when you eventually kill it.

And ANYWAY, you can't have Luke Skywalker without a corresponding Darth Vader, and any number of other analogies
