Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Interesting read. Great background info on many aspects of Peakland life plus some good routes for walking or running

Well, well , well. Rarely on Fetch these days (mostly because I do no running!!) and just happened to see a link to Fetch Fell Runners, which I'd completely forgotten about.

Anyway, my point of interest, for anyone who likes some serious reading, is that the latest book from The Dark Mountain Project contains a piece written about and by a Peak fell runner. And excellent it is to. That's all I'll tell you, you'll have to buy it or subscribe ;-) dark-mountain.net

I should be in the vicinity cheering the kids on, but my legs are smashed after the weekend and I think I might have to give it a miss. Are you thinking of a run out DT?

Ah. Leg 2 recce? It was hot up there today, we did a circuit from Newlands and I'm frazzled. Newlands Hause - Knott Rigg - Ard Crags - Scar Crags - Causey Pike, then back to Sail - Eel Crag - Grasmoor - Wandope - Whiteless Pike - Buttermere cafe - High Snockrigg - Newlands Hause.

Anyhow, that's why I'm not doing Jack Bloor :-)

Well, it's Wednesday and knowing what a modest lad he is, I doubt he's going to say anything so I will: Congratulations to FlyingFinn of this very parish, he completed the Joss Naylor Challenge on Saturday in a fast 12:22, I am still recovering from the emotional trauma of leg 4 !!

Well done Dave, outstanding :-)
