I'm 99% certain it's 24hrs per move, although as I can't ever remember issuing a 1-to-1 challenge to a specific individual before so it's a bit of a case of fingers crossed .... That does sound strange Jules. Was it a rated challenge? There may be some restriction on the rating differences to prevent potential unfair rapid increase for the lower ranked player. I'll see what happens when I try and issue it in reverse later when I get 5.

First one as white I won in 10 mins despite some early blunders. Second one as black, I was down to 11 mins while opponent still had almost 19 mins. Thought I was going to run out of time even though I knew I was in a stronger position, finally we were down to a rook and pawns each and it was inevitable that I was going to get a pawn promoted before they could as I had two on clear files so they resigned!

(I can't get my head round this one move per day thing). Lichess has no paywall or adverts although on first look I do like the chess.com analysis. My rating on lichess is 1600-1700 - I'm not sure how this compares across sites?
