How do you challenge a specific user? I'm trying to set up a game with Gimme Medals but can't locate her when I go through the search process, as is the case with everyone over there ------> I've tried to find. I keep ending up issuing challenges to random users.

Click on New Game then choose option Create Challenge, click on Random icon then on Usernane & type in GimmeMedals & the magnifying glass option - user should come up for you to confirm.

Goofee, on the app it's:
Play - New Game - Play a Friend - Find Friend
Or
Play - New Game - Custom Game - Vs.
and then search by name in the box. I am assuming though that GM is actually 'GimmieMedals' rather then 'Gimmie Medals' as per the sidebar here.
Having said that I'm unable to find GM (smiles at the 'Grand Master' coincidence) myself at this point, this may be because we're currently mid-game.

Cheers guys - I've found 'GimmeMedals' but it says their rating is too high for me to challenge, I can't find 'Gimme Medals'. Ah well, I'll concentrate on the games in progress!

You can change the game type to unrated & it should let you issue the challenge

I've just signed up for the chess.com to have a look round. I'm DeeGee42195 on that. Might be persuadable to have a game. I've played a bit, but I'm no Grandmaster Flash.

I also thought about playing after watching Queen’s Gambit. I don’t own a board and have realised I failed to teach my children the moves. However that’s about all I know, how each piece moves. I’ve tried a couple of apps, including Dr Wolf who has some tutorials, but I’ve gone through the free ones. Still fairly incompetent though! I’ll practice some more before trying a proper game.
