Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I get really quasi-parental with 'my' chicks in the garden. I'm sure others do, too. Can't help feeling responsibility for them, and really wanting to see them succeed.

Lovely nest panad I'm very jealous. Especially since our neighbours chopped their border down last year and we've lost our local nesting site. We seem to now be right in the middle of a turf war.

Everyone who does have garden nests keep the updates coming, love hearing about them

I am indeed feeling very parental - i cleared&dug over a patch of garden earlier so that mr&mrs blackbird could find plenty worms and grubs for them, and I don’t know when they normally start venturing from the nest, but I hope they realise it’s not happening this side of Christmas...:-)
