Interestingly I did 1 second under my current 1 mile PB in the final mile of a 5k race tonight...(as well as knocking 35 seconds off my 5k time in the process )

I haven't put my new one up yet, but hopefully confirmed as 18.41 though. It's not me you have to worry about, Ally2 was out tonight and breezed a sub 16 minute run...

Well done Slicks. Had originally intended coming tonight but decided I need to concentrate on training for Windermere in a months time - so it was a 15 miler instead;). Looking forward to catching up with you at Moorways.

Basic timetable of events!
9.45-10.00 - meet up
10.15: - The Iris Belated Birthday 400m for the kiddies
10.30: - The TR Early Birthday 'Lets woop this Mile' run (for the speed merchants) - this may have to be in 2 races, depending on numbers!
10.45 - The Firestarter Storm Birthday Charge (for runners between 6-8mins & some kids)
11.00 - The Barks Belated Birthday Bash Mile (for runners slower than 8mins & some kids)
11.15 - The Racin Snail Memorial 100m dash(for anyone who wants to pull a hamstring) - or the alternative is to play in the sand pit!
11.30 - The OS Silly Relays - the relay teams will consist of one of the speed merchants, one of the middle runners, on of the 'slower' runners, and a kid (ie: someone under the age of 12!) - but we will sort this out more on the day!
Also to remind you all, please fmail me ( if you have not done so) confirmation of attendence and est time for the run!

Sounds like fun Barks, well done on getting this organised! My friend is re-uniting himself with his diary tonight, so will be able to let you know tomorrow if I can be there... I may be able to rope him into a bit of the fun stuff. Normally he is a speed merchant, but has a dicky foot at the moment...
