Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

all depends on you toks

personally I would go no longer than your 4 hrs but attempt to do another long the next day.

I would do this until 3 weeks before draycote and then taper

With no shame butting into thread.

Gobi, TMW or anyone. If you're doing 3 marathons in 3 days providing you have a good base of training what is the min / max long runs you need to do. Say for a novice marathon schedule the long run goes up to 20 miles, would you have to do as a min 20 miles on 3 consecutive days. Is that too little?

Or is it too much and say 2 days at 20 (ish) miles then another day time on feet at another sport.

Toks start with 1 hr and try to get to 3 you have enough time

TMW and I went different routes

I ran them just off my Marathon training for Cardiff which was 1 x 20 miler and 1 weekend of doubles a 2hr 10 run followed by a 1hr 50 run

TMW did a lot of doubles and far more long runs but I am sure he will appear and tell you all about his approach

Brillant both thanks, that gives me something to work on. Left to my devices I'd be plotting 3 x 25 miles, always think I need to more than necessary.
