Do you run to the right, to the left, do you move, do you stay, or do you smash?

As Jim Carey once said, "short shrivelled and always to the right" wasn't it? ![]() I'm always on the left (running) but there are plenty that clearly love it on the right also and simply refuse to budge 1 bit. Unless two typical Brits run together and move the same way and go as they meet "Sorry, no I'm sorry, I'm sorry x10 repeat, run away embarrassed" |

If I'm running on the left, and the person coming in the opposite direction is on their left (my right) they'll move over my side! ![]() |

I am on a rol, there was a woman last week who saw me and pinned herself to the wall. Only problem was her dog on the extendable lead which meant I either had to hurdle or run in the road. The mind of the pedestrian can be odd at times |

Left generally. Although on the canal I have a theory that where small children are involved, I will always head towards the water side of the path. And away from the water when fast moving cyclists are involved - particularly if no bell has been used ![]() |

I tend to give way at all times, do my best not to get between dog and its owner. I try not to get annoyed with folk blocking the path chatting or walking 3 abreast. Mostly saying excuse me works fine. Dodging past and weaving is good training in over crowded race starts anyway.

...and I'll always say thank you to anyone who stops and stands well out of the way or pulls their dog towards them on a short lead to let me run past.

Maybe there needs to be a t-shirt/singlet made with this on the front: SMILE! and run on the LEFT! ![]() |

I run along a disused railway line/cycle path. Usually get a few dog walkers too. General plan is that if I'm approaching from the rear, then I scuff my foot, which generally alerts people to move over. Unless its a group of ramblers, who have to use the entire width of the path...... |

I thought there would be an "electronic bell" that you could carry, but apparently no one's invented one yet. Someone's working on it though... uk.decathloncreation.com
