It didn't last very long though and I now have a fleece and a bodywarmer over said T-shirt

The first part was successfully renewing my 2nd claim Masters club membership. That was fine but then I hoped - as per advertised in the club magazine - to be able to ENTER A TRACK AND FIELD COMPETITION at Lee Valley on April 18th. Was hoping to long jump, run 100m, and possibly throw things. But boo hoo hoo - no sooner had they booked the venue than it had to be cancelled due to lack of officials. So I'm newtless (ish)

The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.
