Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Great news BBL, live the blue hair and the horse is gorgeous. Any birds visited yet Woo?

My newt today was receiving a nasty email, not being nice about me but the main newt was shrugging it off and not letting it bother me

Youngest was back to college for actual lectures/practicals today.
For the first time, I was wearing my kit to drive him there and stopped on the way home to run up and down a hill.
I have plans for longer runs with some exploring while he's there for a full day on a Wednesday once we're allowed to be a bit further away from home for exercise.

That is an excellent newt Moo. Sometimes you just have to accept you know what you’re doing and it’s the others at fault

Great running and stretching Hanneke

I took a blood sample from a tiny vein on the back of someone's wrist today for the first time in almost 20 years. I'm pleased; taking blood is something I was good at back in the days when doctors took all their own blood samples and it's only in the past couple of years that it's become part of my role again.

Exciting news BBL!
Well done Rosehip and HP for taking opportunities :-)
Positive stuff all round this thread!

I've got myself a pretty new journal so I can start keeping a book diary. I've done it before, but not since the girls were born. I'm getting fed up of thinking- yes, I've read it but I can't remember anything about it, or even worse, not remembering if I've read it at all.

I'm going to try to fill it in from December last year, as that's when I turned 50, but will only be able to include start/finish dates from now.

Speedy those are fabulous!

My newt sports bra has arrived. Not only am I able to get it in and off without hurting my shoulder, it fits! I haven't bought or worn any bras since getting ill with Lyme in 2012. I just cannot wear them. But for running I have to...
It will be tested in anger in a couple of days...

When did you put it in your garden, SarahWoo? With the one I put up in my garden, it took a couple of days. I had been putting food on the ground for about two weeks before I put it though.

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
