We have made an anemometer this afternoon, the children were gifted a couple of curiosity boxes, so we did one of the experiments out of it.

Nothing better than standing on the bridge wing with a handheld anemometer!

A friend pointed me at this: scallywagpress.com - maybe some interesting things there for younger children.

Hubby has decided that this afternoon's lesson will be baking shortbread biscuits. Oh dear what a terrible shame that is ;-)

Saw a funny thing from a teacher online:

“After 15 minutes of explaining a literacy task to 6 year olds I ask if they have any questions: ‘Do you have a cat?’ was the first question.” 😂

Our son today, when asked what work the teacher had set replied “she said I can have cheese” 😂

How are we all doing?

It's hard work. I'm working in school until lunchtime with y4s, then coming home straight to cook lunch and check my y3&4s work, then afternoon activities, coupled with rubbish weather, a chronic health condition, two's company - three's a crowd-itis this week is hard. And now we know it'll be at least 6 more weeks.

Yeah. And I’m off to sea for 8 when we get released. Being in the Navy is like being in lockdown but with the fear of drowning!

We’re doing ok. School have started doing some live lessons which are ok. My son doesn’t bother with the maths lesson because he can just get on with his work but for English we are having fewer melt downs when he doesn’t have any ideas on what to do.

I hadn’t seen the news so didn’t know they had started talking dates. :-(
