Good luck, shyfire. It's good that you're coping cardiowise, as that will allow you to focus on your form when you're running. I was cycling and indoor rowing before starting C25K, and have found the same thing.

Torry - well done for keeping on target. It's not easy getting motivated to go out again in the evenings.

Hi All,
Just started C25K after a 3 year break from running, Im a truck driver and Ive just had my medical to renew my HGV licence. Doctor advised me I have hi blood pressure and if I dont do something about my lifestyle I will be type 2 diabetic pretty soon.

So....healthy eating and exercise. I have to start slowly to build up my fitness and avoid injury. I have completed week 1 with no issues so onwards and upwards.

Dazw - welcome and well done on your 1st week. Sounds like a sensible approach, Hope Wk8 is going well CW. Just done Wk3D1 on treadmill. Legs a little sore after huge spin session last night but coped. Rest tomorrow and next session on Friday.

Thanks Shyfire, starting week 2 today, slow and steady being my mantra. Hope your training is going well.

Welcome, DazW, and well done on completing W1.

Shyfire, that sounds tough! My legs always need at least one day off after spinning - it's brutal!

My schedule has been a bit disrupted over the past two weeks but I've just completed W8D1 - continuous running for 28 mins. It wasn't too bad apart from an icy headwind throughout the second half.

That's great, Torry. Hope it felt easier because you weren't so tired?

Morning is always better CW. I just need to remind myself how much better it feels to do it then.
