The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

It only says boiling water, I’m sure it can be recalibrated to stop at 98c

I’m definitely going on strike if I can’t get a hot coffee at work.

They sent an email earlier in the week saying we can’t wear flip flops, so I’m already on high alert.

We can’t wear flip flops either. Or any type of shoe without a strap around the heel. In an office.

I had an email from Evans Halshaw yesterday saying they were sorry they didn’t have the car we were looking for, which had made me wonder what it is on the drive that we are paying instalments to them for...

Dear all,

I am pleased to announce that we have ready meeting room number 2.3 at ****, top south end, as the new stand-up meeting room. You can book it in the usual way and I particularly encourage you to use it as much as you can, especially for short and quick meetings. It is good to move around and not to be stuck to our chairs for so long. This meeting room has no chairs and we don’t need them! Please, see attached presentation with regards to this initiative. Remember that our spine was designed to chase mamuts and gruffalos, but not to be seated for so long…
