Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

About a mile apart, I reckon. Finish is by the pier. Start is the other side of the railway station.

Edinburgh is just like Brighton, but with water, organisation, no foxes chewing through cables and your relatives are allowed to watch you rather than being escorted into a lifeless stadium whilst you plod along the cold and windy road wondering where your bag has been left.

Nobody is forcing you, Scott. You could use the money to buy us wine instead.

still running
runner duck - we stayed in the Travelodge next to the start line this year. It's basic but it did the job perfectly and we could see the park from our room. It meant that we didn't have to leave the hotel until 8.20am which left us loads of time to get our stuff on the baggage lorries and have a walk around before the 9am start. If you do stay at the Travelodge there, here are my top tips based on this years experience:
1. take extra pillows
2. take extra towels
3. take extra LOO ROLL!

It is a bit of a trek back from the finish, but we (me and the husband) arranged a place to meet up afterwards and then got a taxi back. It cost about £7, but quite frankly I deserved it ;-) We had a look around the finish area the day before after we'd been to the expo at the Brighton Centre.
Hope that helps and if you want to stay at that hotel, book early. I left it until June and it was nearly sold out.

Pre-Race for the regulations Fetch Photo, please assemble outside the massive white tent in the middle of Preston Park.

As you look up the park (it's a slope) we shall be congregating on the right hand side of said massive white tent... the information and lost sprogs tent, it is close to the Pavillion...very close.

Group Photo 08:15?

Post race, we are heading to the Hop Pole pub.

Have a cracking race, see you all on Sunday.
