Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

This all sounds mighty interesting. Alas, if I can get out next June, I'll be doing whw things. But would be seriously interetsed in any training outings Dave.

Andy, I'll bump it to the Scottish hill running thread, see what interest there is.

Apparently I'm better qualified for the eye candy role. So I'm obviously the last person you need to be running!

I'll do the Wasdale head stage (I'll be in the big white building if you can't find me). And do you need one near the ODG too?

I'm up for it next year.
It's been on my list since 1990.

I've not been in any hurry to tackle it- the pinnacle of any running career, but I'll turn 42 at VLM in 2011, and after all that was the age at which BG did his BRG.

I've got 3 colleagues who've already offered pacing if I ever wanted to do it (they are all successful BGRs).

What's your schedule? Classic clockwise 23 hour one?

At the moment I'm thinking 23 hour clockwise, midnight start. But thats all subject to change dependnat on how training goes and how I feel closer to the time.

23hr clockwise is my kind of thinking. I'd like to do the last section from Honister to Keswick - I know the area well as my parents have a house in Littletown and it would be like "coming home" from Gable to Honister to Dale Head etc.

Forgot to say:

After reading this thread last night, I went straight to the bookshelf and dusted off my trusty 1992 copy of "42 Peaks" and read it cover to cover. Again. Got to sleep >2am!
