Asking for a friend.... Honest!

Are some apps better than others? Free or paid for, does it make a difference?

Thanks

Sorry, didn't even know such a thing existed. Hope someone else can help you.

I used Run Double's C25k app ~ it did what it said on the tin and worked well enough for me.

IIRC you get the first few sessions for free (the first two weeks I think) and then choose to pay to continue, or not.

And I'm pretty sure the app also provides bridging programs to help move you up distances after the 5k using the same methodology.

Wasn't an app, but i followed the NHS choices couch to 5k, they did as podcasts which i downloaded to an MP3 player. Would recommend it, i ended up doing twice as i had a long break from running.

It is totally free to use and download and there is quite a large line community to support it, if they are interested, nhs.uk
