I’m on week 6 too, Daz. But I’ve not had the weight loss!
I’m up to 8 minutes running with 1 minute recovery x 4, so building distance and time. Next week it jumps up to 12 minutes running!!

GimmeMedals, the only reason I'm dropping weight is I'm watching what I eat, usually the more I run the more I eat and my weight stays static. However I'm under Dr's orders so need to lose some.

Good that your building distance and time, thats what its all about gradually building time on your feet.

Well done everyone. I have backed off on the running last 2 weeks, been working with a PT twice a week to sort out dodgy knees and very bad posture/movement habits acquired over several years compensating for various injuries. Between that plus bootcamp, spin + core is just too much. That said I sneaked in a wee treadmill 15 mins before camp tonight - 5 min warm up then 60 secs run/walk at a once upon a very long time ago 10k pace. I think I'll try and pick up the running again from week 5 and drop one of the spin classes next week. Would like to get to 5k run by Easter.

Ok I know am playing a bit fast + loose with the plan-its hard fitting it and everything else in! Tonight I ditched core+spin classes and fitted in 30 mins on treadmill before bootcamp. 5 min warmup then 25 min run @4.8mph. Covered 2.3 mile in 30 min so have increasing confidence can get to 30 mins run and which point I'm going to give parkrun a visit.

I've just done the 1st session of week 8 - 15 minutes run/ 1 min walk x 2. It was a bit of a jump up from the last run I did with the group (8:1 x 4) as I missed last week's session, but I just about managed it. We go to parkrun this Saturday with the intention of running it all if we can :-0

parkrun this morning. Last minute decision just to go and do it (literallly threw clothes on and jumped in car) after humming and hawing about when to give it a try. Was 1st time in nearly 6 years. Kept a consistent pace all the way with no walk breaks. Even managed a wee sprint in the last 100m. I am still buzzing :-)
