Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ah, AL, another though I had was that maybe with so many peoples' notes only being the Garmin info, any "other" notes were being put in the bespoke field?

I use it for perceived effort (1-10 scale) and find it's very useful as I can't be faffed with a heart rate monitor. For instance, I can see if I'm running like a donkey and finding it really hard too, probably indicates I'm a bit run down.

I use bespoke fields for the Heart Rate Recovery and Training Effect that the Forerunner 610 does.

Saint, what does that HR recovery message on the 610 mean then?

I don't know if you can see those fields on my training log.
The HRR is how many beats per minute your heartrate goes down in the first 2 minutes after stopping your run. I searched the literature and it seems that it is a fairly good indicator of cardiac health http://scholar.google.co.uk/scholar?hl=en&q=two+minute+heart+rate+recovery&btnG=&as_sdt=1%2C5&as_sdtp=

I get values typically between 60 and 95
Cue lots of people telling me this proves nothing and how dare I read things meant for experts . . . In advance can I say that I simply find it interesting, claim no special knowledge beyond the ability to read and don't think it means I won't drop dead tomorrow. . . . . sigh :(
